I really wanted to something special for this occasion. Intead I worked too much and was generally lazy when I did not.

So no awesome "Thanks for 5,000 page view" photo art. Sorry.

But a severe thank you is in order nonetheless. I never would have thought that so many people would take their time to check out what I am doing here.

I met the most amazing people and did receive advise, criticism and praise from people, who play in leagues of professionalism I know I will never enter. I made friends and swapped thoughts with people from literally every continent on this earth and watched art from perhaps even more places. ;)

So what for the next months? I really would like to do some more photo sessions, but I don't now if I can find the time, so I better promise nothing yet.

But I added this very cool poll widget (I love those tiny useless thingies :D ) to my site. If you are in the mood, check it out!

You have not seen the last of me, that is a promise! I will return - MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :)

I studied the aesthetics of the 3rd Reich in university, especcially the films of Riefenstahl and her influence to western-cultural hero portrayal in the late fifties and early sixties. During this I recognized that many aspects she used are still valid today and thought of pointing that out by making a corresponding portrait.

Oh, then I understand. You are much more familiar with Leni Riefenstahl's photography and metaphorical language than I am, but still I find both yours and her photos fascinating. And it is interesting to hear that so much inspiration comes from her photography and her pictures, still today.

Please do not note my terrible english, I can promise you that my skills in the german language is even worse ;)
